Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a FGP Coding Coordinator.
In this role, the FGP Coding Coordinator will be responsible for abstracting clinical information from a variety of medical records and assign appropriate ICD9/10 and/or CPT codes to patient records according to established procedures, review vendors coding for quality, serve as a resource to help resolve coding-related questions, reviewing and advising physicians and staff with regard to local and national coding and reimbursement policies and work coding denials for the department of Radiology.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have the credentials normally associated with this position include bachelors degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination or training and relevant work experience. Current medical coding certification (CPC) required. Epic experience is preferred.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
Good communication, interpersonal and computer skills
Arrives on time for work and meetings
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff and management.
High level of accuracy for reviewing coding
Maintains current in compliance, carrier policies, and regulatory policies and requirements relevant to the specialty
Knowledge of medical terminology required
Familiar with standard office equipment
Leadership skills
