    The Health Promotion Manager provides oversight for programs and grant initiatives within the department. This position is responsible for strategically planning and carrying out division objectives, evaluating program services, and ensuring compliance with local,state, and federal laws, contract requirements, and department policies and procedures. This position will also lead and facilitate a collaborative community health improvement process for the Health Department.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    Minimum Requirements

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Education, or a related field.
    2. A minimum of two years of experience in program or grant management
    3. Knowledge of principles, practices and processes used in the health education and health promotion components of community health programming.
    4. Demonstrated ability to manage grants and budgets
    5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    1. Master’s Degree in Public Health, Education, Epidemiology, or related field.
    2. Three years’ experience in managing programs, initiatives, or grants.
    3. Experience in principles of community development and/or grassroots organizing.
