    Summary:

    Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Kitchen, Waitstaff performs a variety of patient food service and dish duties, as well as other related tasks.

    Salary Range: $16- $20 (Depending on Experience)

    Required Skills

    Minimum Education and Work Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Previous hospital and food service experience preferred.

    Required Skills

    • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to communicate well with co-workers and guests.
    • Ability to demonstrate clear oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to effectively plan and prioritize work.
    • Ability to follow simple recipes.
    • Ability to maintain collaborative working relationships to ensure a positive and productive work
    • environment.
    • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
    • Knowledge and ability to operate basic kitchen equipment
    • Knowledge of food safety guidelines.
    • PC competency, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel)

    Essential Functions

    • Assist dishwasher with cleaning and sanitizing dishes.
    • Assists in orienting new employees to department.
    • Assists in setting up, serving and breaking down catered events.
    • Cleans freezers, refrigerators and storage areas
    • Delivers and serves food to patients, family and employees.
    • Helps other kitchen personnel in the preparation and arrangement of meals.
    • Helps with assigned cleaning and date/label duties.
    • Sets up trays according to department guidelines.
    • Stocks supplies.
    • Takes all patient and guest food requests.
    • Other duties as assigned.
