    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nurse Supervisor - NYU Langone South Shore Neurologic Associates - Islip.

    In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for the nurse navigator staff and related cancer center programs. Monitors best practices and improvement initiatives to promote optimal delivery of patient care.

    Job Responsibilities:

    * Supervise, evaluate and support the oncology nurse navigators, programs and services inclusive of orientation and training. Services as a single point of contact with the oncology navigation team. Assists administrative staff in meeting departmental and institutional goals.
    * Performs other duties as assigned
    * Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to resolve existing barriers in order to promote optimal delivery of patient care. Assists with coordination of multidisciplinary tumor boards.
    * Responsible for monitoring of the best practices in designated cancer sites, including cancer specific quality improvement initiatives. Collaborates with tumor registry on relevant data collectionsstudies as they pertain to cancer.
    * Navigate designated cancer patients through the cancer continuum from diagnosis through survivorship. Serves as an educational resource for patient and family.
    * Collaborate with community outreach to provide educational resources to community, and improve access to patient care services at Winthrop.
    * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and committees to share pertinent information with oncology navigators, removing internal barriers to oncology navigation services.
    * Ensure standards of care are met based on Oncology Nursing Society, Oncology Nurse Navigator core competencies. Continue process improvement through distribution and feedback from Oncology Nurse Navigation patient satisfaction survey.
    

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree Nursing. Current NYS Registered Nurse License. Professional Certifications / Registration: Indicate special certifications that are required or preferred for the position 3 - 5 years Nursing. Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, leadership skills. Proficiency with computers.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Master's Degree Nursing or PublicHealth Administration. 1 - 2 years Management or supervisory experience; AcademicHealth/program development, CommunityHealth.

    Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $89,404.63 - $120,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
