    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Internal Career Planning Specialist. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for working with internal candidates via Steps for Success program. In this highly visible role, you will get to recruit, interview, and select qualified internal candidates for positions. Develop and implement marketing strategies. Act as the internal consultant to departments regarding staffing concerns/policies/procedures. Prepare metrics and reports for the department. Provide invaluable assistance to multiple NYU Langone Health departments to fill critical vacancies with internal talent.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Oversees the recruitment process including sourcing, screening, credentialing, and evaluating internal candidates, verifying requirements are met regarding previous education and experience for positions that the Specialist recruits for including Managerial level positions.
        • Prepares accurate, thorough, and timely AA/EEO reports, turnover analysis studies, and activity reports for areas of responsibility as needed. Composes reports in clear, concise, and timely manner according to pre-set guidelines.
        • Maintain an active awareness of the NYU Langone Health’s commitment to affirmative action/EEO goals and incorporates same when planning recruitment strategies and activities. Develops relationships with different NYU Langone Health councils that facilitate access to a diverse talent pool.
        • Manages various projects including incorporate a new Internal Talent Mobility platform, creating a quarterly Steps for Success newsletter, creating a network of internal ambassadors, creating career ladders, peer to peer program, and cross campus initiatives. Oversight of the Steps for Success initiatives derived from the internal talent development committee.
        • Provides coaching, interview/resume preparation to Steps for Success applicants for job referrals and/or counselling. Ensures compliance with policy guidelines concerning the Steps for Success Program and documents outcome for each applicant. Follows up with each applicant regarding outcome and relays feedback in a constructive manner.
        • Acts as a consultant and maintains contact with the talent acquisition specialists to determine current and future staffing needs to help build internal pipelines.
        • Builds strong and effective relationships with department heads to develop marketing strategies and events to recruit and secure top internal talent.
        • Manages the Internal Talent Mobility platform to develop a talent community, and build strong pipelines of potential internal candidates. Coordinates and oversees recruitment outreach programs, open houses, career fairs, and related recruitment activities for events within the organization. Including but not limited to Internal Meet & Greet, Resume Writing and Interview Etiquette Workshops, and graduate mixers.
        • Researches alternative resources that help target active/passive internal candidates such as social media, internal email blasts, and maintains effective recruitment literature.
        • Program development/implementation of internal talent programs to attract viable internal candidates. Utilizes effective recruitment techniques developing long-term relationships with internals to broaden talent pool.
        • Oversees the move process for transfers including reviewing of paperwork, issuance of security IDs, immigration and transfer eligibility status, verification of license, education and experience to meet minimal qualifications.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related degree with a minimum of three years of recruiting and/or interviewing experience in healthcare.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Applicant Tracking Systems, and knowledge of PeopleSoft.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as, consultative skills with the ability to understand the needs and urgency of the assigned customer base.

     

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master s Degree Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Professional inHuman Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional inHuman Resources (SPHR). Certified inHealthcareHuman Resources (CHHR). 3 5 years In aHospital orHealthcare environment.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,311.62 - $100,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
