    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Coordinator, Employee Health - Mineola. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for facilitating the sign-in process according to HIPPA regulations. Assesses the clients, (employees, vendors, contracted workers, volunteers, voluntary attendings, rotating residents, students) needs and refers to the appropriate practitioner. Monitors the flow of clients through office with observance of confidentiality. Reviews all medical records and determines need for further testing and/or medical clearance for ID badge based on requirements of regulatory agencies, i.e. CDD, DOH and OSHA. Responsible for all clients computer recordkeeping, performs data entry and accesses data upon request. Generates statistical reports for specific committees upon the manager's request.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Performs a variety of clerical tasks necessary to ensure the orderly function of the department, and to provide confidential service in a timely fashion.
    • Performs receptionist duties efficiently and courteously. Manages multiple phone lines, retrieves phone messages, triages calls and directs them to appropriate practitioner. Coordinates all appointments and maintains computerized appointment calendar for sick calls, vaccines, clearance RTW, Pre-employee physical exams, workers comp. evaluations
    • Coordinates the EHD medical clearance for all Contracted companies, schools and vendors, including Touro and Farmingdale State College on site programs. Reviews all vendor, intern, volunteer and student medical records and issues clearance to Safety for ID card and admittance into HCF based on regulations of NYSDOH for healthcare workers in a HCF.
    • Calculates and formulates EHD monthly statistics and blood-borne pathogen exposure statistics for presentation to administration. Generates computerized reports according to departments needs for statistical.
    • Performs role of EHD coordinator administrative assistant to effectively support the functioning of the manager and the department.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a High School diploma or GED. 1-2 years Experience. Excellent communication (both oral and written), detail-oriented, organizational skills. Able to prioritize tasks. Shift flexibility, ability to work efficiently under pressure. Able to work in a team environment. Basic computer skills.
