    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Pharmacist. In this role, the successful candidate Assists in the planning the financial decisions and accountability of the department Responsible for the supervision, coordination, administration and organization of the Pharmacy Department activities. . Serves as primary resource for the department's Information Technology systems. Participates in, In the absence of the Director, assumes the required role.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Acts as the liaison between the Pharmacy Department and the Information Technology Department.
    • Collaborates with and works with the Finance Department to assist in clarifying andor correcting patient billing issues.
    • Oversees the purchasing activities of the Pharmacy to assure adequate supply and cost-effectiveness of medication. Develops budgets aligned with organizational and departmental objectives and monitors financial performance appropriately, Responsible for financial audits and analysis as needed.
    • Acts as Secretary of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, responsible for producing meeting minutes.
    • Assists in providing applicable departmental policy and procedures related to the pharmacy department and the organizational medication management. Attends necessary committee meetings on various subjects regarding medication therapy.
    • Oversees and audits the daily financial and clinical reports.
    • Responsible for the monthly department financial statistic reports to the Finance Department.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify, you must have a Bachelors Degree Pharmacy. Current New York State Pharmacy license. Excellent communication (both oral and written), organizational, detail oriented, problem solving, and record keeping skills. Basic computer skills. Proficient in the use of the Pyxis system. Knowledge of the special handling requirements and additional policies and procedures for preparation of sterile bio-hazardous orders.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree Healthcare Administration, PublicHealth or Business Administration.
