    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Administrative Director,Radiology. In this role, the successful candidate provides administrative oversight for the Department of Radiology including WRA (Winthrop Imaging services) and any hospital owned imaging site i.e. Radiation Therapy & Women's Imaging Center. Manages daily operations, finances, supervision of staff and long term planning, business plans.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manages and direct the operations for all divisions of Radiology (Diagnostic, Cat Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, Women's Imaging Center & Winthrop Radiology Associates).
    • Oversees financial management. Responsible for financial management of capital and operational budgets including preparation, monitoring expenses and analyzing monthly variances. Assists in negotiating medical/surgical equipment contracts to provide cost effective purchases.
    • Develops Process Improvement Goals and improve utilization of resources. Facilitates with clinical and administrative team, short and long term goals and operational practices. Analyze stats and develop corrective action plans as necessary for proper utilization of resources.
    • Oversees and coordinates department activities. Coordinates inter and intra departmental activities. Manages process improvement to ensure charge capture billing component is accurate.
    • Supervises managerial staff and ensure that proper staffing is provided for clinical activities.
    • Coordinates construction and renovation projects for patient care areas. Provides liaison between clinical and construction team.
    • Oversees the Radiology Information Systems and PACs for the department and outside offices under contract.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify, you must possess the following:

    Bachelor's Degree in Radiology, Biology or a health care related field, required.

    Valid and current New York State Radiology Technologist license, required.

    Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) Certification, required.

    American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Certification, required.

    9 - 11 years experience in Imaging Services, required. 6 -8 years supervisory/management experience, required.

    Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, analytical, multitasking, detail orientation, and organizational skills, required.

    Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office ( Excel, Outlook, Word and Power Point), required.

    Basic knowledge of Radiology Information system, voice to text and other related systems, required.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field, preferred.
