  • Responsibilities

    As a Regional Sales Manager based in the Northeast, you will be responsible for expanding Segway’s enterprise segment within the covered region. You will have resources, quality products and expertise to provide entertaining transportation solutions to customers requiring the highest level of support and satisfaction. This position will understand all of Segway Inc.’s Sales channel base within the assigned territory where you will manage relationships and drive sales revenue to identified key opportunities to expand our sales channel. This includes maintaining and enhancing the Segway relationship and product breadth within identified accounts by:

    • Identifying key decision makers to develop relationships within major accounts in the geography
    • Working with dealers to provide product knowledge, sales support, market intelligence, uncovering leads, sales incentives, and attending strategic events
    • Developing and planning account and product strategies
    • Negotiating and closing opportunities
    • Maintaining total customer satisfaction
    • Timely submission of all required field communications, including call reports, travel itineraries, expense reports, marketing plans, and general correspondence

    Required Skills

    Integral to this role is the ability to collaborate with distribution channels, internal account managers, supply chain, operations and marketing departments. The overall objective is to drive a greater awareness and acceptance of Segway’s consumer product portfolio into strategic corporate end user accounts. Achieving sales targets across Segway’s consumer product categories that will fall under your responsibility.  Manage relationships and drive sales revenue to identified key end users in conjunction with our strategic B2B channel partners.

    This position is responsible for creating and delivering compelling sales presentations.  Develop and maintain relationships between the company and end-customers through the management of sales process, and ongoing technical support. Report on all sales activity and provide assessment of revenue opportunity along with model and unit forecast.

    Perform long range planning to increase product placement, customer satisfaction and sales growth for long term results and achievement of assigned sales targets by working independently and travelling up to 60% of the time.

    Authorized to work in the USA without employment sponsorship.

    Preferred location New York metropolitan area.

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree with 5-10 years of experience with sale of consumer electronics to big box retailers is required
    • 3-5 years of B2B outside sales experience calling on customers within medium to large size business
    • Must possess a strong knowledge of industry products and market intelligence
    • Excellent organizational and planning skills
    • Must be able to work independently as well as with existing sales team
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Ability to travel within assigned geographic territory (up to 60% of the time)
    • The ability to move and transport equipment (under 75lbs) is required
    • Knowledge of working with the CRM platform a plus
    • Microsoft Office skills required
    • Must be able to establish home office and work from home office as needed.
