  • Responsibilities

    SYSTEMS ANALYST

    The Systems Analyst will be responsible for the configuration and maintenance of multiple systems within our restaurants. Additionally, this position will lead the system testing process for all upgrades prior to implementation in the live production environment. As with all members of the Nando's family, the Systems Analyst will be expected to wear multiple hats, seek out opportunities to make Nando's and themselves better every day, and in general, be a good team player!

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    POS Implementation and Maintenance

    • Analyze, review, and alter systems, programs, and applications to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to new requirements
    • Work with users to define and evaluate business problems and inefficiencies that may be resolved through fixes and enhancements
    • Communicate any defects to vendors and application owners and coordinate testing and implementation of fixes
    • Develop and execute test and quality assurance strategies and plans prior to deploying updates or changes to stores
    • Monitor system status and react to issues as they arise

    Help Desk Support

    • Provide technical support of the application, interfaces, and any customizations
    • Monitor support issues and ensure resolution of tickets sent to the help desk
    • Develop documentation for user-audience as systems are modified and/or new technologies are implemented
    • Communicate with site users regarding any system enhancements and or scheduled upgrades
    • Provide system training and technical assistance to IT team and user community as necessary

    QA + Systems Testing

    • Develop project deliverables, including but not limited to project plans, requirements documents, design documents, test plans, and test cases
    • Communicate any defects to vendors and application owners and coordinate testing and implementation of fixes
    • Ensure that proper version control is strictly adhered to and operational risk is minimized accordingly

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science or a related field
    • 3+ years of relevant work experience
    • Experience in creating and executing system test scripts
    • Experience relating business requirements into technical specifications
    • Excellent understanding of Oracle Hospitality systems and interfaces required
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet competing deadlines
