Seeking an experienced Live-In Caregiver for an 84-year-old gentleman with low vision. He spends most of his time in a small oceanside town in Rhode Island, but travels to Manhattan about 4-5 days per month.

Regular responsibilities include driving, cooking, laundry, grocery shopping with client, reading to client, going on walks with client, supervising intake of medications, managing his calendar, accompanying him on social outings and possible travel, plus light bookkeeping and light housekeeping. Looking for someone who is able to provide companionship and positive interactions with clients to keep him active and engaged. Must have prior experience in caregiving or home care and a valid driver's license.

The successful candidate will be self assured, relaxed, patient, flexible, have an easy going attitude and will be an excellent communicator and empathetic companion. Must be tech savvy. Looking for someone who is Local to the area. 

A sample day in this job could look like:

• Client wakes around 9am and makes his own breakfast
  
• Running errands—groceries, post office, etc.
  
• Lunch at home
  
• Driving client to gym
  
• Afternoon at home—light housekeeping, bookkeeping, calendar management
  
• Dinner out with client and his friends
  
• Evening at home—client likes to watch evening news programs
  
  

In each residence, the candidate will have a light-filled private bedroom with an attached private bathroom. Some travel outside of RI & NY is likely. Having a medical background is a definite plus.

Compensation and benefits:

• Pay: $125,000 per year
• Start date: ASAP
• Schedule: Live-in 7 days per week, some days are slower than others
• Benefits: 4 weeks paid vacation, negotiable pto and holidays
