    We are a Boston based start-up technology company looking for an intern to support production of our advanced material technology.  We are looking for a hands-on technician, who, recognized and supported by management and a stable work environment, can deliver quality work on a consistent basis. We need a patient, detailed oriented team player, who cares for accuracy and is a helpful and supportive communicator.  New skills will be learned through a supportive team environment and coaching. Job Responsibilities:

    • Formulations of thermal interface materials using various resins and fillers to meet the property requirements of next generation TIM products and/or to improve current products
    • Work on compounding and fabrication for selected formulations accordingly
    • Detailed documentation of formulation, compounding, and fabrication process methods and results
    • Measure physical, mechanical and thermal performance of the interim and final products
    • Support other team members including director, senior engineer and technician.
    • Follow all regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.

    Job Requirements:

    • College student or recent graduate with a major in Chemical or Materials or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
    • Excellent documentation and communication skills
    • Computer skills for preliminary report generation (MS Office: Power Point, Word and Excel)
    • Experience and knowledge with any of the following is a plus: basic polymer chemistry and properties, resin-filler compounding, polymer composite materials characteristics and processing
    • Must be open to learning new work skills, processes, and procedures and be capable to work independently with minimum supervision.

    $15/hours for 10 weeks period, duration of internship is flexible
