The established procedures and processes must be followed very closely; there is little room or necessity to modify them. Much of the work can be accomplished by working at a steady, even pace. There is much consistency and familiarity from one day to the next. It is generally feasible to plan large blocks of work ahead of time. When work duties do change, there is ample foresight and time to prepare. The work is best accomplished working as an individual, without a great dependence on other people for results. The work is helpful in nature; providing support and/or service to others. 

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Work on compounding and fabrication for selected formulations accordingly
    • Detailed documentation of formulation, compounding, and fabrication process methods and results
    • Support in measuring of physical, mechanical and thermal performance of the interim and final products
    • Support other team members including director, senior engineer, and associate engineer.
    • Run compounding and fabrication processes repetitively and follow procedures to run processes related to the growth of polymer composite materials including thermal interface materials and EMI shield materials
    • Set up, adjust and operate lab and production equipment required
    • Adhere to test procedures and inspect and test finished products for quality, functionality, specification
    • Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products
    • Follow all regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.

    Job Requirements:

    • Holds at least a High School Diploma - Associates Degree preferred with science-based / engineering background 
    • Excellent documentation and communication skills
    • Computer skills for preliminary report generation (MS Office: Power Point, Word and Excel)
    • Experience and knowledge with any of the following is a plus: basic polymer chemistry and properties, resin-filler compounding, polymer composite materials characteristics and processing
    • Must be open to learning new work skills, processes, and procedures and be capable to work independently with minimum supervision.
    • Job activities are consistent, or even repetitious in nature, and results are repeatable
    • Well-define processes and procedures exist to perform activities
    • Helpful, "service" orientation 
    • Cautious, by the book, decision-making is required
    • Examination of the facts, established procedure, or proven process must preclude decision-making (detailed knowledge of or training in those areas significantly aids decision-making)
    • Communication is factual, polite, and professional in nature
    • Need to speak with great specificity and knowledgeable detail about areas of responsibility when reporting to Director and team
    • Authority and responsibility is shared with others, such as in a team environment where people have worked together for long periods of time
    • Little delegation of details is required. When it does happen, this position requires strong follow-up to ensure that work quality and attention to detail remain very high Leadership style required involves being an expert in the field and using that knowledge to be a resource for others' learning and development

    We offer a total estimated compensation package of $21.36/HR - $26.10/HR (comprised of a base wage of $16.43/HR - $20.08/HR + up to 30% potential bonus based on meeting divisional and company KPIs which is paid out quarterly.)
