Nanoramic seeks to hire multiple R&D Technicians. The focus of this job is on producing high-quality, detailed work, and precise, consistent work output is essential. The R&D Technician will receive structured step-by-step training and positive, supportive coaching from both management and peers. This job will consist of repetitive job routines and procedures, and experience will be gained while on the job. Consistent and detailed work will be based on standards that are clearly communicated. We will provide a job environment that promotes steady, methodical work output so that job routines can be completed on time and error-free. This position is designed to develop a valued technical expert who can deliver quality work on a consistent basis. The ideal candidate for this role does not need previous experience with electrodes or coating but must be open to learning new concepts and processes.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Assist Engineers with hands-on experiment/work, including but not limited to:
      • Prepare electrode slurry with specified recipe requested by engineers, record materials and quantities used
      • Check the quality of the slurry based on instructions, report the results to relevant engineers
      • Clean the mixer after using
      • Coat the electrode, adjust the coating gap based on mass loading requirements
      • Clean the slot die coater parts after using
      • Notify engineers of anything unusual that happens during mixing/coating
      • Calendar the electrode to target density, report anything abnormal to the engineers
      • Punch the electrodes and clear the edge with appropriate solvents
      • Dry the electrodes in a vacuum oven
      • Obey work area safety, cleanliness and organization rules.

    Experience:

    • Relevant industry/academic battery work experience, or
    • Demonstrated experience in technology companies
    • Technical associates degree preferred
    • 3+ years of hands-on work in the technical field
    • Capable of working in a low humidity environment, such as a dryroom (< -50 oC dew point
