You’ll conduct preliminary dental exams, help dentists with examinations and procedures, and perform thorough dental cleanings so patients walk out with a smile. Responsibilities: Protect patients’ teeth by thoroughly cleaning them and applying fluoride or other sealants Inform patients of all ages about how to care for their teeth by brushing and flossing on a regular basis Identify dental issues such as periodontitis, gingivitis, or cavities so they can be treated as soon as possible Make patients feel at ease and taken care of before, during, and after the appointment Perform preliminary dental examinations to get an overview of the patient’s oral health history for the dentist Work with dentists to decide the best form of treatment for a variety of dental disease Qualifications: Valid CPR certification Superb customer service and communication skills In-depth knowledge of dental safety regulations and HIPAA regulations Has dental hygienist licensure in the state where the job is located Compensation: $42 - $54 hourly
