We are seeking an experienced Android developer to play a leading role in developing our mobile applications and SDKs. The person would be developing Android SDKs and apps with a highly differentiated user interface, integrated into our innovative core technologies of natural language, image and speech recognition. Our candidate should have solid “on the ground experience” with Android app development and have successfully deployed multiple apps to the market.

Responsibilities:

• Develop Android application interface, working closely with interface designers – contribute ideas, describe platform limitations
• Participate in application design, architecture and development
• Optimize Android messaging and communication with REST API’s
• Work closely with server team to define new features and capabilities
• Stay abreast of latest Android platform features
• Optimize interface for rendering on multiple devices
• Participate in code reviews, test plan reviews, and documentation reviews
• Participate in or lead team meetings to help improve development process
• Design of various software modules for internal and 3d party use (SDK)

Required Skills:

• At least 3 years of software development experience
• Proven record of development for Android OS (2+ years), especially experience with JNI, native C/C++ development
• Strong knowledge of OOP
• Familiarity with front-end and back-end technologies by using them in real life projects
• Highly organized self-starter with an eye for detail who can maintain multiple ongoing projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Hands-on experience creating custom UI controls, designing protocols, understanding of how to create adaptive interfaces that work for multiple device form factors
• Experience working with Java, native design patterns and the Android/Eclipse and/or Android Studio developer tool chains
• Experience developing the client-server and/or media streaming applications
• 2+ applications in Google Play Store
• Experience working with Hardware Audio/Video API, video processing and rendering, media data transmitting, echo suppressing and video codecs is a plus
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong planning and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues

• Experience with Unity
• Worked previously in agile development teams
• Experience integrating to Speech Recognition API’s
• Experience with Imager Recognition APIs
• Experience with development of Augmented reality
• iOS experience
