    About Naples Classical Academy:

    Our mission is to train the minds and improve the hearts of young people through a content-rich classical education in the liberal arts and sciences, with instruction in the principles of moral character and civic virtue. Naples Classical Academy is a growing public charter school that opened in the fall of 2021 and now serves scholars grades K - 12. Our school follows a classical curriculum that includes a variety of important subjects including history, Philosophy, Language Arts, Mathematics, visual arts, science, music, physical education, and others. The essence of virtue, Western philosophy, and moral character permeates our curriculum as we seek to instill a love for knowledge and learning in our scholars.

    Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

    1. Substitute teachers work on an on-call needed basis

    2. Reports in person to the school building to provide face-to-face instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans provided by the absent teacher

    3. Follow teaching plans with skill and fidelity

    4. Creates a classroom environment that is safe, orderly, conducive to learning, and consistent with the mission and virtues of the school

    5. Maintains established procedures of the school and classroom

    6. Comply with all relevant school policies and state and federal laws and regulations

    7. Adhere to the school’s dress code as outlined in the employee handbook

    8. Manage a classroom in such a way as to create an atmosphere characterized by order, respect, wonder and joy

    9. Cultivate good habits among students through explicit instruction and personal example

    Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

    1. High school diploma or equivalent required

    2. Higher education preferred

    3. Ability to work on-call or as needed

    4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    5. Experience with classical, liberal arts education and the ability to hold students accountable to a high standard of conduct
