    Job Description

    The Marketing and Sales Intern will provide support and enhancement to the Nashville Symphony’s ticket sales efforts. The internship allows students to work directly with (and gain experience from) arts administration marketing professionals on the following initiatives: direct sales, telemarketing, group sales, lead generation, tourism sales, hotel and convention partnerships, market research, advertising, on-site promotions/experiential marketing, marketing content creation, campaign development, opt-in permission-based efforts, direct marketing, grassroots & niche marketing and general day-to-day departmental administration. This internship will be sales focused and will require the intern to spend time in office and out of the office promoting Nashville Symphony concerts.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    All interns must be students at accredited colleges and universities.

    • The internship must be a part of the student's curriculum
    • The internship must provide earned hours that are directly applied to the student's degree
    • Interns must work a minimum of 135 hours per semester
    • Interns must be available to work evenings during the season
    • Interns must be willing to make sales outreach via phone, in-person and via email
    • Interns must be high-energy, detail-oriented, team players
    • Internships do not provide compensation
    • Internships do not guarantee full-time positions with the Symphony upon completion
