  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The Operations Intern will provide support for day-to-day activities of the Operations department of the Nashville Symphony, which is responsible for concert & event production and orchestra management. The intern will gain hands-on experience with the production of a wide variety of concerts in May-July 2020, in addition to preparing for the 2020-2021 concert season, and learn about other operations activities such as, updating instrument and equipment inventory, and managing a department budget.  Prior experience working with an orchestra is a plus.

    Qualifications

    All interns must be students at accredited colleges and universities.

    • The internship must be a part of the student’s curriculum OR the internship must provide earned hours that are directly applied to the student’s degree.
    • Interns must work a minimum of 135 hours per semester.
    • Interns must be available to work some evenings and select weekends during the season.
    • Interns must be high-energy, detail-oriented, team players.
    • Internships do not provide compensation.
    • Internships do not guarantee full-time positions with the Symphony upon completion.
