Job Description

The Education and Community Engagement Intern will provide support for all of the day-to-day activities of the Education and Community Engagement department of the Nashville Symphony, which is responsible for the Symphony’s music education initiatives, children’s concerts, community partnerships, and adult education programs. The intern will assist in the planning of Young People’s Concerts, designing activities for Pied Piper Children’s Concerts, and delivering Instrument Petting Zoo programs to local schools and summer programs. Additionally, the Education and Community Engagement Intern will gain hands-on experience in re-vamping and/or building new curriculum for our educational programs. Prior experience designing lesson plans or working with school children is a plus, but not required.
