Job Description: The “Event Ambassador” will assist with basic duties needed before, during and after an event to help ensure we create a positive experience for our event guests and birthday party attendees.

Basic Function and Responsibilities:

Party Host for birthday parties – welcome all guests, help with food service and with the animal presentation. Maintain timeline and engage with children

Jungle Gym attendant for jungle gym parties – ensure all guests are off the playground at dusk and assist with clean up

Host for private events – welcome guests as they check in and provide them with a wristband; direct guests to their event location and answer questions on their event

Public Event Staff- Assist with the execution of large scale public events.

Miscellaneous event responsibilities – inflatable attendant, photo booth attendant, etc.

Work Requirements and Qualifications:

Must be energetic, good with children, creative, have good people and public speaking skills, maintain excellent customer service and possess an out-going personality

Must be 18 years of age

Ability to work closely with other team members, guest services personnel and volunteers

Must be able to work on Saturdays and Sundays

Ability to lift 20 lbs and stand for prolonged periods of time

Uniform Requirements:

Zoo logoed shirt and “safari vest” will be provided. Ambassador to wear khaki or black pants, or shorts no shorter than mid-thigh. Closed toed shoes required. Handbook rules apply.
