Title:National Account Manager
Shift: Standard business hours, Monday - Friday (remote position with travel as needed)
Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 base salary + uncapped commission (potential $40,000+ in upside earnings)

National Account Manager Role
The goal of the National Account Manager is to drive top-line revenue growth by securing new business and expertly managing existing major national retail accounts. The National Account Manager will be a key player in expanding our market presence and ensuring the successful delivery of tailored merchandising solutions to our diverse client base.
National Account Manager Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets
Identify and secure new business opportunities with major national retailers
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within client organizations, including sourcing, merchandising, and design teams
Understand each retailer's unique needs and tailor sales approaches accordingly
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal engineering and customer support teams
Utilize CRM systems to track progress and manage the sales pipeline
Present product solutions and value propositions to prospective and existing clients
Negotiate contracts and close complex sales deals
Stay informed on industry trends and competitive landscapes
National Account Manager Reporting Relationships
This role reports to the VP of Sales. This position has no direct reports.
About You
Proven track record of top-line revenue growth and new business development in the retail merchandising equipment industry
Bachelors/University degree
Experience with a minimum $20M book of business
Extensive experience managing sales in large national retailers
Ability to navigate complex retail account structures and tailor sales strategies
Creative and curious approach to problem-solving and client engagement
Mix of new business development and account management expertise
Strong ability to work collaboratively across different departments including sourcing, operations, and design teams
Proficiency with CRM systems and adaptability to new ERP systems
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Resides in the Mountain Zone, West Coast, or Midwest (preferred, but open to other regions)

Additional Information
Compensation and Culture: This role offers a competitive base salary and an uncapped commission structure designed to reward high-performing individuals who drive significant new revenue. Our private equity owner, Riverside, also offers an ownership program where employees are eligible for a bonus equal to six months of their annual salary when the company is sold.
Sales Methodology: While we utilize SPIN selling and other methodologies, we recognize that the retail industry demands a unique approach for each account, requiring distinct strategies for working with sourcing, merchant, and design teams.
