Blaze Media is looking for a National Account Representative to join our sales team. The National Account Representative will support the sales department's efforts to grow advertising revenue across Blaze Media's content and digital platforms with a strong focus on linear advertising and podcast sales.
Previous sales or buying experience is required for consideration for this position. This opportunity can be based remotely, but preferred to be located in the Dallas, Texas area.
The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years of digital sales experience; self starting attitude and habits, experience at negotiating, and closing deals; and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prospect, develop leads, and close deals with brand-friendly advertising partners for Blaze Media's digital inventory, including but not limited to podcast, email, web, video, social, and digital linear stream.
• Achieve agreed upon sales targets within timeline
• Coordinate all sales with sales coordinators and accounts receivable to ensure Blaze Media meets obligations to client
• Pursue and execute cross-platform deals wherein advertising partners buy wholistic ad campaigns.
• Research and propose new sales clients and strategies that could drive revenue for company
• Provide regular reporting to head of sales, including but not limited to new sales, projected revenue, and warm leads
• Perform other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
• 2-5+ years digital sales or buying experience is mandatory, additional sales experience preferred
• Confident operating in the digital sales ecosystem, with a pulse on latest ad tech and attribution tools
• Passion and skill for selling; an excitement for pursuing, negotiating, and closing deals
• Ability to create and deliver custom presentations tailored to the partner's needs
• Experienced and confident with CRMs/Order Management Systems
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine interest in figuring out creative ways to maximize sales revenue from multiple digital marketing channels
• Ability to work independently, anticipate leadership's needs, work under pressure
• Sensitive and attuned to what types of partners and creatives are and are not brand-friendly
• Interest in and/or familiarity with the political and editorial news landscapes a plus

Compensation: $70K draw + Commission
