    Job Description

    This position develops and analyzes customer hourly energy data used by various internal business groups and external organizations; like Retail Energy Suppliers for invoicing and reporting.

    Applied knowledge of SASS, R Studio, and/or Toad SQL is preferred. The position reports to the Manager, Regulated Settlements and is located at the General Office in Akron, Ohio.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Conducting research, analyzing data, interpreting results, and making recommendations on matters related to assigned projects. • Developing improvement initiatives related to processing and analyzing customer energy data. • Participating in meetings with internal Legal, Rates, Energy Efficiency, Information Technology, Agreement Support, Regulated Commodity Sourcing regarding metering and customer data matters. Discuss metering and customer load data with customers, suppliers, and PJM representatives that may involve minor issues. • Resolving data discrepancies in Settlement systems • Keeping sensitive customer information secured • Understanding concepts related to operating in Regional Transmission Organizations and electric industry principles such as, capacity markets, demand response, energy efficiency, customer choice and customer electric use patterns. • Utilizing various mathematical principles such as regression equations and algebra. • Organizing large amounts of data into meaningful reports to internal/external customers. This can involve using queries to access and pull data from databases, using SQL code to limit data and writing limited VBA code in excel to organize data. • Providing staff support to management and higher levels of professionals • Demonstrating a solid commitment to all aspects of safety • Conducting business specific research and analyze data; Interpreting results & making recommendations • Meeting customer needs by providing sound service and responsiveness • Exercising sound decision making by developing alternatives and recommendations to improve work processes • Actively seeking formal and informal learning opportunities to better understand element procedures • Building relationships and credibility across organization QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of professional work experience. • Applied knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word • Demonstrated ability and desire to work on assignments involving large databases and numerical analyze • Experience displaying an attention to detail • Desire to work on assignments with firm daily, monthly, and annual timelines • Demonstrate a questioning attitude to continue to learn, produce results, and develop existing relationships • Possess a sound knowledge of basic researching techniques • Understand best practices and techniques for addressing customer concerns • Desire to continue to learn and grow and deliver results • Demonstrated analytical abilities, including problem solving and decision making • Ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    OTHER:

    • 12 month + contract position. Feel free to inquire about extension, contract to hire.
