  • Responsibilities

     

    Under general supervision and with independent judgment, develops, encodes, tests, debugs, documents, and installs programs to support business applications by performing the following duties.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    1. Analyze, develop and lead the execution of efficient and cost effective project plans for system design across multiple areas within Information Technology. Lead complex projects established as corporate priorities throughout the company.

    a. Prepare project plans by gathering, analyzing and making recommendations based on client input. Limited coordination with client throughout project lifecycle.

    b. Be the subject matter expert within area of responsibility.

    c. Maintain a mutual understanding of project direction with project team.

    d. Balance project priorities and ensure deadlines are met.

    e. Facilitate meetings, training and client presentations.

    1. Design business and technical solutions by interfacing with internal resources across all areas within Information Technology.

    a. Create and maintain supporting documentation for application features and functions.

    b. Design and develop high-level functional requirements and scope acceptance for new development and enhancements of applications, products, and services.

    c. Transform functional requirements into system specifications by writing clear and concise application requirements documents.

    1. Develop, maintain and support complex programs to meet specifications within area of responsibility.

    a. Work with advanced programming logic and techniques.

    b. Analyze and create efficient data structures.

    c. Ensure programs effectively interface across various applications.

    d. Conduct analysis and testing to identify program errors.

    e. Analyze and improve application performance.

    f. Create debugging and troubleshooting tools.

    1. Unit test and implement the application, product, and/or service within area of responsibility as well as provide support throughout project lifecycle.

    a. Define detailed test plan and acceptance criteria.

    b. Participate in problem definition, analysis, and development of solutions.

    c. Provide quality assurance.

    1. May provide leadership to junior staff through guidance and training. May provide input regarding performance.

    2. Perform other duties as assigned.

     

     

    Required Skills

    Knowledge of business intelligence practices, Skills in data warehousing and data modeling techniques in SQL Server, Skilled in the use of Extract, Transformation, and Load (ETL) tools(SSIS), Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and principles, Experience with a reporting tool such as SAP Business Objects or Cognos.

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
