SUMMARY
NY Enrichment Group is seeking several Spanish Language Teachers to lead basic ESOL curriculum for school-age children in our partnering schools. Successful candidates will be supporting students while fostering and cultivating their desire to learn and speak Spanish. Instructors must be able to successfully adopt a creative learning environment approach while promoting flexible thinking skills, and instilling values of respect, team, and passion. Instructors will model and inspire a love of learning that will equip each student to succeed in school and in the community. Candidates must be enthusiastic and exhibit a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to the communities we serve and demonstrate the ability to motivate and educate.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Facilitate basic Spanish instruction classes that follow a social group work model
· Responsible for managing a classroom of 15-20 Pre-K students
· Build and implement a rigorous chess curriculum to students that begins with chess basics
· Establish clear objectives for all lessons and communicate those objectives to students.
· Building a classroom culture and promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills
QUALIFICATIONS
· A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
· Must have prior performance experience
· Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
