Overview
The Field Service Engineer installs, maintains, and repairs complex equipment at customer sites across the United States. This role ensures systems operate at peak performance while delivering exceptional technical support and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Install and commission systems at customer locations
Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues
Provide on-site customer training and technical support
Document service activities and system performance
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve technical issues
Travel
60–80% domestic travel required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred
3+ years of field service, technical support, or equipment maintenance experience
Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and software systems
Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments
Preferred Experience
Analytical instruments, laboratory equipment, medical devices, or industrial systems
Experience in regulated or highly technical environments
