    Intern - Communications at National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) Lake St. Louis, MO; Mandan, ND NISC specializes in developing and deploying enterprise level and customer-facing software solutions for over 800+ utilities and telecoms across North America. Our mission is to deliver technology solutions and services that are Member and Customer focused, quality driven, and valued priced. We exist to serve our members and help them serve their communities through our innovative software products, services, and outstanding customer support. This position reports to the Manager of Communications and Events and will perform variety of communications and administrative functions to support the timely execution of marketing plans and projects over the course of the summer. What the Communications Intern does: Assist Communications and Events with the following: Content development for marketing materials and related collateral, internal communications and brand-building initiatives Social media posting, scheduling and organization, and in particular, gathering an updated list of all NISC Members on social media, and creating viable lists in TweetDeck, Hootsuite or related software Coordination assistance in e-communications mailings for NISC. Assistance with internal newsletter writing and compilation. Constant Contact bounces, opt-outs, etc. Maintains content on www.nisc.coop Proofing all marketing materials and Member correspondence Logistics of trade shows and member conferences Packaging and shipping of trade show displays Gathering/storage of high-res Member logos Assistance with importation of photos into Digital Asset Management System Special events set-up and coordination assistance Desired Skills: Knowledge of web maintenance. Strong writing and editing skills. Knowledge of graphic design and layout software. Strong data entry skills. Strong customer service skills. Strong commitment to teamwork. Desired Education: Pursuing a degree in communications, marketing, or equivalent education or equivalent experience.
