    We are currently seeking an Associate Dedicated Advisor to join our dynamic and growing Account Management team. Associate Dedicated Advisors serve alongside one Dedicated Advisor, providing day-to-day support and long-term strategic planning to manage a shared territory of clients. They are responsible for assisting the Dedicated Advisor in building and maintaining strong relationships with our members to help ensure member retention. 

    THE ASSOCIATE DEDICATED ADVISOR WILL PARTNER WITH THE DEDICATED ADVISOR TO:

    • Foster relationships with high-level executives and heads of office at DC’s premier public policy organizations and proactively manage these relationships throughout the year to optimize the value of the National Journal Group membership services

    • Consult with members on best practices in government affairs space 

    • Participate and facilitate conversations about high-level policy issues, synthesizing and suggesting potential projects for clients based on best practices in the field

    • Demonstrate deep knowledge of National Journal products, able to suggest new ways members can utilize services

    • Develop effective strategies for maintaining visibility of services and deliverables at member organizations

    • Provide superior service to member organizations

    • Track and map client history and engagement to create strategic outreach plans

    • Secure annual renewal of membership contracts with the goal of increasing revenue and meeting revenue-driven goals

    • Identify successful trends and proactively suggest innovative outreach strategies 

    • Adapt to changing product offerings and internal processes, consistently keeping your clients’ best interests at the center

    • Work collaboratively to provide market feedback to help tailor and refine the membership product

    QUALIFICATIONS OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

    • Interested in and passionate about federal & state policy and politics 

    • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and clients

    • Willingness to work outside the strict job description parameters, thinking creatively about how to provide the highest level of customer/member service

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    • Demonstrated poise and grace under pressure

    • Excellent organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills

    • Strong academic record from a leading college or university
