    Job Description

    POSITION DESCRIPTION

     

    The Programs Associate (FT) is an integral member of the Programs Department. The Programs Associate will support the Foundation’s adult and youth patient programs including Living with Kidney Disease and Transplantation (English and Spanish), Kidney Camp, and Families (Kids and Teens) Living with Kidney Disease and Transplantation.

    The Programs Associate is also a member of the KidneyMobile® team. The KidneyMobile is a mobile screening and educational vehicle that travels throughout Illinois testing for kidney disease, and risk factors including diabetes, and high blood pressure.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Plan adult patient program series Living with Kidney Disease and Transplantation. Support planning committee, agenda development, speaker confirmation, registration, and analysis of program evaluation data.
    • Provide support to adult patient program series Viviendo con Enfermedad Renal y Transplante, including participating in planning process and providing day-of support.
    • Plan youth patient program series Families (Kids and Teens) Living with Kidney Disease and Transplantation. Support planning committee, agenda development, speaker confirmation, registration, and analysis of program evaluation data.
    • Review patient program evaluation data and make suggestions for future program updates based on participant responses.
    • Coordinate Kidney Camp registration and ensure camper information is accurately uploaded in camp records platform.
    • Support KidneyMobile® screenings, including participating in screenings, maintaining inventory and supplies, and volunteer recruitment.
    • Oversee Professional Advisory Board (PAB) registration and membership list.
    • Track program expenses and income receipt for NKFI programs; reconcile income and expenses.
    • Support departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including tracking metrics for patient programming.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Proficiency in Spanish (required)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Comfort presenting in front of a group
    • Ability to work well independently or as part of a team
    • Must have a valid driver’s license; carry current insurance on personal vehicle when driven on Foundation business and be insurable to drive for Foundation business.
    • Must be able to lift 35 lbs

     

    EDUCATION

    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent work experience).

     

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

    The Programs Associate position reports to the Senior Director of Programs.
