Primary Responsibilities

The personnel in this position are tasked with care and feeding of marine mammals and safety and maintenance of property and facilities during Night Watch hours.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide a minimum of one 4-hour shift per week during watch hours of 2:30 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. Additional weekly overnight shifts may be available as the schedule allows. The successful candidate will be able to provide relief night watch support during times of need, and as their personal schedule allows, for either 4-hour or 8-hour shifts.

Essential Functions

Perform observation of marine mammals

Perform feeding and administration of medications and/or food supplements

Maintain a nightwatch log with detailed notes

Assist with basic husbandry

Maintain and clean specialized equipment

Other tasking within the scope of the Animal Care Associate position

Additional Requirements

Valid driver license

Ability to walk throughout shift

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
