    Field Service Technician l to provide support and services as requested by the Customer and/or directed by the Manager of Customer Service/Site Group Supervisor related to Knorr equipment. Investigate and troubleshoot “running repair” level technical car problems with KB supplied equipment, assist in system commissioning, assist in testing programs. Perform Field Modifications to Knorr Product. Equipment can be mechanical, electrical/electronic in nature.

    Required Skills

     

    1. Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with company's rules and policies.

    2. Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.

    3. Must understand and comply with applicable standards. ( i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO/TS 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and CMMI).

    4. Maintain and safeguard business records.

    Additional Essential

    1. Support Rail Services A/M activities.
    2. Commission Knorr equipment.
    3. Conduct testing programs.
    4. Perform FMI’s and other Running Repair level work as directed by Manager F/S and/or Group Supervisor.
    5. Interface with engineering departments of car-builders, transit authorities and other KB entities as required.
    6. Must be able to utilize Knorr portable test units and service terminal software proficiently in the field.
    7. Must do “hands-on” trouble-shooting, to support the level of “Running Repair”.
    8. Travel is required as necessary. More than 50-75% of time is spent with customers; therefore, travel will be required

    Required Experience

     Highest level of education required:High School Diploma

     0-2 Years Relevant Experience

    MUST BE WILLING to GO to both LOCATIONS
