The accountant is dedicated to ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policies related to the fixed assets in all North America locations. This role partners with key stakeholders in the business (Controllers, Operations Management, R&D, Corporate Accounting, FP&A, and Tax.) Additionally this position will proactively provide guidance to finance and non-finance business partners as it relates to accounting treatment and company policies. Key responsibilities of the position is to support the implementation and sustainability of entity level controls for the capital appropriation process, ensure accurate presentation of all fixed asset related activity on financial statements and filings.
Required Skills Required Skills:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance required
Three years accounting experience preferred
Demonstrated experience in the application of accounting principles associated with fixed assets and related sales/use and personal property taxes.
Previous experience in large, manufacturing ERP required; SAP and/or Sage experience preferred
Solid understanding of US GAAP particularly ASC 360
Ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative manner
Strong professional written and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with MS Office Suite; intermediate to advanced Excel skills
