    SUMMARY OF OVERALL PURPOSE


    As a member of the Enterprise Architecture team, the individual in this role will be at the forefront of enterprise and systems architecture definition and implementation with a focus on the security architecture domain across Trustmark businesses.

    The Cloud Security Architect will serve as the central point of contact for Cybersecurity Architecture for other Technology teams within the organization. The role will be collaborating with Information Security, other IT and business stakeholders to ensure that the solutions and systems conforms to disciplined, industry best practices for information security. This role will drive innovation; develop/review program/project level information security architecture solutions, plays key role in evaluation and selection of third party platforms, technologies and solutions in support of meeting business needs and ensuring compliance with information security architecture. He/she will provide technical oversight to ensure that third party vendors will adhere to previously developed and approved Enterprise Architecture standards, best practices and reference architectures pertaining to security.

    The successful candidate possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to collaborate with other leaders across the enterprise to identify opportunities and risks, develop, and deliver solutions that support business strategies and protect Organization intellectual property.

    The responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

    • Identify, recommend, coordinate, and deliver timely knowledge to InfoSec, Infrastructure and Application development teams regarding technologies, processes or tools.
    • Partner with information security team to ensure all applicable security and compliance standards and requirements are incorporated into solution design
    • Represent Information Security Architecture in development and implementation of the overall global enterprise cloud architecture.
    • Develop cybersecurity standards, security reference architectures and reusable patterns based on industry best practices that align with the overall Trustmark’s enterprise architecture blueprint
    • Develop future state architecture and multi-year roadmap to implement cybersecurity standards
    • Lead initiatives designed to share knowledge across Information Security Platforms and/or Technology teams.
    • Act as the ambassador and senior technical representative for Enterprise Architecture while engaging with other senior technical leaders throughout organization in design and implementation of security architecture for cloud/hybrid
    • Collaborate with Information Security, Infrastructure Services and Application Development teams to choose appropriate technology solutions that are secure and comply with Trustmark’s information security standards
    • Promote Cloud adoption, Cloud-native application development, robust/resilient application design in line with reference architectures
    • Design appropriate security topologies for deploying to hybrid platforms (on-Premise and Cloud)
    • Proactively identify and manage risks, opportunities, compliance issues or other security architecture concerns
    • Lead innovation in information security discipline, and maintain technical skills to stay up to date with industry trends
    • As a member of Enterprise Architecture team, take active part in all aspects architecture governance processes representing the information security point of view

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    Minimum Requirements

    |

    Preferred

    • 10 years of experience with Security Architecture and/or Engineering.

    • 3 years’ experience with Azure platform such as

    • Experience with assessment, development, implementation, optimization, and documentation of a comprehensive and broad set of security technologies and processes (secure software development (Application Security), data protection, cryptography, key management, identity and access management (IAM), network security) within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments.

    • Working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, etc).

    • Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management (Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, etc.) preferred.

    • Experience designing and implementing security solutions including continuous monitoring and making improvements to those solutions, working with an information security team.

    • Experience in the design and development of security best practices and implementation of solid security principles across the organization, to meet business goals along with customer and compliance requirements

    • Experience performing threat modeling and design reviews to assess security implications and requirements for introduction of new technologies.

    • Bachelor’s Degree

    • Experience performing as a project-level architecture to design for information security on large-scale projects involving complex topology

    • Experience working with cloud security and governance tools, IDAM tools (Okta & Sailpoint), cloud access security brokers (CASBs), and server virtualization technologies
    • Exemplary general IT knowledge with applications development, testing, deployment, operations, architecture standards, best practices, information security, hardware and networking
    • Ability to work as a team member and leader in a diverse technical environment
    • Work with the other architects and ensure that the architecture, design principles, and standards are in alignment with Enterprise Architecture direction
    • Ensure that design, development, technical validations, and approvals occur
    • Own technical project issues and roadblocks and make certain they are resolved in an effective and efficient manner
    • Identify and manage technical risks on the project
    • Support project’s organizational change management and communications efforts
    • Knowledge of The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) or other architecture framework
    • Knowledge of HIPAA, CCPA, GDPR and PCI regulations

    • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred.
    • Three to five years experience in legal recruiting or a related field.
    • Strong analytical and data management skills required, familiarity/proficiency with Excel and 12Twenty preferred.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills and interpersonal skills required.
    • Strong financial management skills, and attention to detail, also required.
