    NORC is looking to hire friendly and personable individuals as Telephone Interviewers who can reach out to people around the country over the telephone.  Interviewers talk to people from every conceivable walk of life to obtain information on issues such as health care, employment, education, and many others. NORC is an independent research institution affiliated with the University of Chicago, and interviewers are vital to the organization’s nationwide survey research operation.  NORC has recently opened a new survey research center in Albuquerque, conveniently located near the I-40 and Eubank exchange at 10500 Copper Ave NE Suite A-1.

    • $10.50 per hour minimum for all regular staff

    Job Description

     

    Generally, Telephone Interviewer work involves interviewing participants over the telephone for important research studies. Some people that you interview have volunteered to participate or have already been contacted. Other participants will need to have the survey described to them before participating. Questions are provided by a computer-based survey to simplify the interviewing process. The job relies on and develops a variety of skills, from interpersonal and computer skills to the nuts and bolts of public policy research and data collection.



    Required Skills
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Experience interviewing residential households or businesses by telephone preferred.
    • Knowledge of a PC Windows environment required.
    • Ability to follow all standard operating and project-related procedures.
    • Must be able to sit for long periods of time in a production work environment.
    • Ability to pay attention to detail.
    • Ability to write clearly and legibly.
    • Ability to work in a production team environment.
