ESTATE SPECIALIST: BUYER OF ESTATE ITEMS, JEWELRY, WATCHES, COINS, MEMORABILIA, FIREARMS, ETC

JOB OVERVIEW: The Estate Specialist will be responsible for quickly appraising items, negotiating prices, and purchasing collectible items directly from clientele. Items are then assessed, cleaned, and listed for resale at auction. A successful Estate Specialist will develop an understanding of the items we purchase along with the industry knowledge required to confidently communicate product value and purchase items from customers. The Estate Specialist will report to the Team Supervisor.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Travel to sponsored buying events, negotiate pricing, and purchase jewelry, diamonds, watches, sterling silver, gold, coins, currency, fine art, memorabilia, collectible firearms, autographs, and other valuable items.
• Deliver excellent customer service to sponsors and customers while efficiently closing sales.
• Accurately identify and describe items for online auction resale.
• Follow company processes for buying policies, tracking item listings, and reaching personalized goals.
• Perform miscellaneous office duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferred: 3 years of experience buying and/or appraising jewelry or estate items.

• Ability to travel 8-12 days per month from February through November, on 4 consecutive day trips.

• Ability to lift 40 lbs on a regular basis with ease.

• Strong visual acuity to focus closely on and identify fine print and hallmarks.

• Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license.

• Knowledge of fine jewelry, watches, antiques, coins, fine art, photography, firearms, or other collectible items is preferred.

• Certifications such as GG, AJP, Master Watchmaker are preferred.

• Must be confident, positive, and poised.

• Ability to reason intelligently and communicate clearly.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Comfortable working in a laid-back, fast-paced environment.

ANNUAL BONUS OF UP TO 25% OF ANNUAL SALARY, BASED ON:

• Employee performance and growth.
• The number of buy events attended, closing ratio, and profitability.
• In-office productivity.

SALARY IS DEPENDANT ON EXPERIENCE.
