    Job Description

    PHYSICIAN RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

    At National Spine & Pain Centers (NSPC), our mission is to relieve pain and improve quality of life through personalized, accessible care. We are currently looking for a PHYSICIAN RELATIONSHIP MANAGER to help develop help maintain relationships with providers, healthcare systems and other patient-referring originations.

    The Physician Relationship Manager develops and maintains ongoing collaborative relationships with outside providers, healthcare systems, and other patient-referring organizations based on mutual respect, high-quality outcomes, and patient satisfaction. Works to establish and maintain workflow between NSPC offices and patient-referring organizations. Coordinates referral relationship management efforts with community outreach and marketing initiatives to increase referrals for the assigned territory/state location. The successful candidate would be located in the NEW YORK territory.

    WORKING UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF THE CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER, YOU WILL:

    • Creates, maintains, and manages relationships with physicians and other key professionals, with a focus on referral sources with the highest current and/or potential volume
    • Educates external providers regarding care provided by affiliated NSPC providers and NSPC services
    • Identifies physician-to-physician practice building strategies that further enhance referrals
    • Executes events and meetings that further grow physician referral relationships among internal physicians, external physicians and local healthcare systems
    • Proactively collaborates with internal providers, identifies referral relationship issues, and removes obstacles to facilitate referral growth
    • Negotiates, resolves, and creates solutions to referring providers' complaints and concerns by performing service recovery and relationship building
    • Communicates effective marketing and education material ideas for brochures, flyers, direct mail pieces, e-mails, promotional items, and other communications, reaching top referring accounts or new leads/business prospects
    • Maintains accurate data on referring providers and tracks referral trends through SalesForce.com
    • Meets quarterly set growth goals per territory/state
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

    OTHER JOB DUTIES:

    • Develops quarterly relationship growth plans, including individual goals and portfolio goals
    • Engages Top 200 accounts within assigned territory resulting in relationship growth
    • Engages referral sources both virtually and in person with purpose and pre-planning
    • Coordinates with Center Managers to schedule meetings between Internal and External physicians
    • Works directly with internal physicians on referral source targeting, planning, engagement, and follow up
    • Track referral patterns daily/weekly/monthly to effectively execute call plan and identify trends

    WE REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING:

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • A sense of urgency in patient related matters and a proven track record in customer service
    • Quick learner with an interest in healthcare
    • Team-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Previous experience in sales and/or account management
    • Experience in healthcare, particularly with spine and pain related organizations
