    Job Description

    Job Summary

    Participates in a wide variety of broad-based accounting projects which includes the preparation of financial statements and disclosures that comply with relevant accounting and disclosure standards, technical accounting research, implementation of new accounting guidance, and compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002 ("SOX").

    What Would You Do? The Specifics.

    • Leads the preparation of, and performs detailed reviews and analytical procedures on, the Company’s consolidated audited financial statements and disclosures, condensed consolidated quarterly financial information and disclosures, and monthly financial information included in internal management reports.

    • · Performs ad hoc reporting and analysis on a variety of complex accounting issues facing the Company, including the preparation of technical accounting memos detailing relevant accounting guidance and the Company’s policy with respect to such issues.

    · Maintains awareness of developing accounting and SEC rulemaking topics and assesses the impact of such developments on the Company

    · Assists the accounting and finance team in coordinating and facilitating external audits and reviews.

    · Works closely with internal and external auditors to design, implement, and document key financial accounting and reporting controls that meet the requirements of SOX.

    · Enhances business procedures and processes to increase efficiencies and reduce costs while maintaining an adequate level of internal controls.

    · Works with accounting information technology, including software supporting general ledger, financial reporting, and cloud-based computing tools.

    · Collaborates with Financial Systems team, process owners, third party (optional) to support the Oracle Cloud ERP implementation initiative

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Work Experience

    • 6+ years experience auditing SEC registrants or in a financial reporting role at an SEC registrant or large private company (or a combination of the two). (Prefered))

    Education

    • Four year college degree or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. Required
    • Master's Degree in accounting or related field. (Prefered)

    Licenses, Certifications, Professional Affiliations

    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Upon Hire (Required)

    Additional Skills

    • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements and SOX.
    • Proven track record of thriving in a dynamic, process-driven environment.
    • Communicate effectively with financial and non-financial personnel including: the executive team, internal auditors, external auditors, consultants, supervisors, and corporate support employees in various departments.
    • Ability to optimize the use of multiple systems in order to reconcile information from various locations within the IT structure.
