Trailer Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete knowledge of vehicle systems and equipment
- Familiarity with various mechanical tools like gloves, torque wrench, and safety glasses
- Excellent technical and mechanical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent physical dexterity
- Ability to work at long and flexible hours
- A team player and ability to work independently
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Preparing and presenting inspection reports
- Addressing client queries when needed
Trailer Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Completion of a certificate program or technical training in mechanics and truck repair
- 2-3 years of work experience as a Trailer Mechanic or a similar role in the Engineering department
- Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS brake systems preferred
- Experience with various hand tools
- Valid Driver’s License
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM
- Occasional Overtime and Saturday hours as needed
