NEMR Total HR is hiring an HR Generalist to support our multi-site/state client HR partners. The ideal candidate will preferably possess at least three years’ experience with employee relations, policy creation and compliance background. A successful individual in this position will become a knowledgeable liaison between NEMR Total HR and a multitude of clients, employees, and vendors.
** Responsibilities of the Human Resource Generalist:**
- Directly engages client and client employees with questions related to human resource challenges
- Supports and coordinates HR initiatives related to clients including employee-related trainings, new legal rollouts, handbooks, job descriptions, benchmarking, etc.
- Assists with the development of Human Resources policies for the clients
- Complies with all existing governmental, labor, legal and reporting requirements
- Serves as resource for HR policies
- Travel to clients within the local area – no overnight travel involved for weekly visits
** Requirements of the Human Resource Generalist:**
- Three to five years of HR Generalist experience
- Direct employee relations experience; with coaching, mentoring, disciplinary actions, investigations, etc.
- Knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and procedures
- Knowledge of federal, state employment laws and regulations related to employment
- Advanced customer service skills
- Advanced organizational, administrative record keeping and time management skills
- Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Bachelors' degree in human resources or related field, preferred
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), preferred
** Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:**
- This is a full-time hybrid position
- Monday's and Friday's are remote optional with core, in-office days being Tuesday thru Thursday
- Work hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday thru Thursday and 8:00am - 4:00pm on Friday
- Team members have every other Friday off
