Job Description

Nations Info Corp. is looking for a Billing Risk Analyst to join our dynamic, fast-paced team focusing on managing risks related to consumer billing and billing operations. Reporting to the Sr Director of Billing , the Biling Risk Analyst will be accountable for the analysis of billing-related risks, including chargebacks, refunds and fraud pertaining to our subscription based businesses. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be comfortable dealing with large data sets and complex projection models, while being able to effectively plan, implement, and communicate solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Closely monitor refunds, chargebacks, approval rates, decline rates/reason codes and leading indicators for fraud

• Create and maintain a predictive model for transactions and chargebacks

• Identify the business drivers impacting changes in approval and chargeback rates

• Conduct financial impact and sensitivity analysis supporting merchant processing and risk management initiatives

• Collaborate with key business owners to develop KPIs for merchant processing and risk management at the product, vertical and customer level

• Fully understand the customer lifecycle including: subscription sign up, recurring billing retention and cancellation

• Identify and manage risk trends and optimization opportunities to improve approval rates and reduce chargebacks and refunds

• Continuously review the product and identify opportunities to mitigate impact to merchant processing risk

• Monitor and optimize the costs associated with our payment processing and risk management partners

• Review, improve, automate and document existing processes, procedures, and workflows

• Work with Product Team to build risk management and merchant processing considerations into our product roadmap

• Manage internal billing and risk management split (A/B) tests to determine optimal billing processes based on KPIs

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 3- 5 years experience with data, financial, or business analytics

• Experience in an internet subscription based business preferred

• Expert knowledge of Excel, SQL and forecasting

• Sisense,Tableau or other BI tool experience a plus but not required

• Merchant processing and payment risk management experience a plus but not required

• Must be detail oriented, comfortable with data and focused on accuracy

• Ability to plan projects and keep tasks prioritized and organized

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
