Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead end-to-end security operations for our fast-growing supplemental benefits company. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing information security strategies to protect our company, health insurance plan customers, and the members of our health insurance customers. You will be based in our Plantation, Florida headquarters. Some limited business travel may be required which could include travel to our offices in India.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and manage the information security team to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of information security services and solutions.
• Identify, assess, and manage information security risks to the company, its health insurance plan customers, and the health insurance customer's members.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to information security, including HIPAA, HITECH, and PCI DSS.
• Lead the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans and work closely with business leaders to ensure plans are tested and updated regularly.
• Develop and maintain documentation of security best practices and organizational policies in responding to security-sensitive business situations.
• Manage human resources, including training, recruiting, and evaluation of the security team.
• Partner with internal and external providers to ensure security controls and processes are integrated throughout the organization and third-party providers.
• Evaluate employee behavior and organizational culture to promote a security-aware culture and minimize human error in security incidents.
• Provide financial reporting and guidance to executive management on cybersecurity as a business problem.
• Ensure stakeholder onboarding and engagement to ensure all internal and external parties are aware of the importance of information security.

Critical Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in information security, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing information security strategies.
• 7+ years of experience in a leadership role, with strong management and team-building skills.
• Previous experience as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is required.
• Strong knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in financial reporting and addressing cybersecurity as a business problem.
• Strong documentation skills to ensure security best practices and organizational policies are maintained.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP) certification

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Experience working in a high-growth environment.
