    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Claims/Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for processing new claims in accordance with policies, procedures, and guidelines as outlined by NationsBenefits and contractual agreements.

    • Maintain confidentiality of claims data
    • Analyze and investigate complicated insurance claims to help prevent fraud
    • Resolve claims in a timely manner
    • Contacting Members for missing documentation/information
    • Contacting insurance companies for issues of eligibility or extenuating circumstances
    • Reviewing criteria to determine whether Member meets requirements
    • Ensure processes are current and updated when necessary
    • Interact and communicate with Finance to facilitate payments to Members

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

    • High PC proficiency skills required
    • Some experience with claims processing and/or banking background
    • Attention to detail and quality-oriented
    • Strong oral communication skills
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • High proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Basic Math skills
    • Knowledge of insurance-related policies
    • Knowledge of CPT , HCPS, and ICD-10 Codes
    • Excellent conflict resolution skills
    • Strong written communication skills
    • Time Management skills
    • Ability to remain highly motivated in a multi-faceted environment

    • Ability to multitask
    • Listening and interpersonal skills
