    Job Summary:

    The job of a room service attendant involves taking room service calls, ringing up sales on point of sale system, delivering meals to guest rooms, and collecting trays in hotel hallways/linen closets after guest have finished meals. The job of a Pub server and cocktail server involves taking guest’s food and beverage orders, serving guests, busing tables, replenishing drinks, and ensuring guests are 21 and older to purchase alcohol.

    Essential Functions:

    Possess knowledge of food and beverages served

    Collect payment and operate point of sale system

    Present physical and accurate check to guest and complete the payment process.

    Check identification of guest to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol

    Take room service orders and properly complete them, including delivery

    Appear and act in a professional manner

    Involved with all side work to help set up department for future shifts and assist Bartenders as needed.

    Serve food and beverage in prompt, courteous manner as per the standard sequence of service

    Ensure communication between kitchen, order taker and service team members

    Monitor operating supplies, equipment and successfully reduce spoilage and waste

    Monitor guest comments and pass on to Manager, and be pro- active in solving problems

    Report guest complaints immediately to Manager and ensuring follow up is performed with the guest

    Perform additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time

    Physical Requirements:

    These physical demands represent the physical requirements necessary for an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the described essential functions of the position.

    Standing required for entire shift

    Ability to lift, reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull heavy workloads, exert up to 100 pounds of force and the ability to regularly lift 55 lbs.

    Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

    High school diploma

    English language and professional communications skills are required

    Ability to take direction

    Ability to work in a team environment

    Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure

    Must be ServSafe & TIPS Certified (will provide if aren’t currently certified)

    Previous POS usage is preferred

    Superior Customer Service

    Knowledge of alcohol drinks mixing recipes and terminology
