    Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center, managed by Columbus Hospitality Management, has an immediate opening for an experienced F&B Supervisor. Attention to detail and extreme pride in your work are the essential characteristics of the ideal candidate for this position. Applicants MUST have strong banquets background and experience in executing the F&B side of on-site group meetings. Supervisory experience is highly preferred.

    Candidates must have flexible availability as well as be able to meet the physical requirements of the position which requires the ability to lift up to 55 pounds without assistance and regularly lift 50 pounds throughout the shift without assistance. Candidates must also be flexible in their role as this position supports all outlets of the F&B operations and must be able to adapt to changing environments and responsibilities. Valid drivers license and clean driving record is required.

    Assist Outlets Manager in overseeing the staff and operations of the Ohio Dining Rooms, Room Service and The Pub. This position requires the availability of a swing shift mentality, with a schedule that allows for AM/PM and mid-shift as business dictates.

    Essential Functions:

    Greet, seat, and serve guests in dining room, in-room dining, and pub dining. Supervision of staff in accordance to the guidelines and standards established by Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center.

    Understand, exemplify, and lead staff in accomplishing Nationwide’s Core Values.

    Train, mentor, and develop all staff members.

    Maintain clean and organized work areas both front and back of house.

    Appear and act in a professional manner.

    Answer the telephone, take room service orders, reservations and various service requests in a professional and courteous manner.

    Assist in the scheduling and assignment of staff, stations, set-up and closing duties.

    Ensure that all duties and responsibilities expected of the F&B staff are completed correctly and in a timely fashion.

    Able to handle cash and credit transactions and account for financial shift income.

    Have a strong working knowledge of the POS system.

    Provide a strong, professional connection and detailed communication between the front and back of house staff.

    Perform additional duties as requested by a manager at various times.

    Must have a clean driving record and be able to drive a sprinter van.

    Physical Requirements:

    Required to stand the duration of the shift.

    The ability to regularly lift 55 lbs.

    Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

    Knowledge of food and beverage, etiquette and quality service standards.

    Basic math skills.

    TIPS Certified.

    High school diploma and prior experience working in customer service.

    English language and professional communications skills are required.

    Ability to work in a team environment

    Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure

    Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized
