Job Summary:
The sales representative is responsible for assisting customers in selecting tile, stone, and related products for residential and commercial projects. This role requires product knowledge, strong customer service skills, and the ability to guide clients through the selection and purchasing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide knowledgeable advice on product features, benefits, usage, and installation..
Prepare quotes, process sales transactions, and follow up with customers.
Collaborate with designers, contractors, builders, and homeowners on project needs.
Meet or exceed sales goals and performance metrics.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product lines, and promotional offers.
Handle customer inquiries and professionally resolve any issues or complaints. Engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and guiding them through the selection process
Responsibilities
Answer phone calls and direct them to the senior sales manager or the warehouse.
Work at a register to ring up and carry out customer sales.
Collect payments by cash and credit card.
Assume additional responsibilities for stocking, inventory, and store maintenance.
Drive sales by participating in targeted product promotions and initiatives as set forth by the company.
Develop and maintain in-depth product knowledge to effectively assist customers with their selections.
Qualifications
Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
Willingness to work well in a team environment
Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in a showroom
Willingness to work a flexible schedule
Preferred Skills:
Extensive knowledge of stone types and tile applications, and installation techniques with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Experience working with trade professionals, such as interior designers or contractors
Work Environment:
Retail showroom, warehouse, or contractor sales desk.
May require weekend or evening shifts.
