Full Stack Software Engineer, Seattle WA or San Francisco Bay Area

Our company, Nautilus Biotechnology, is at the crossroads of where software meets biology. The disciplines we have under one roof are amazing: biology, chemistry, physics, software engineering, hardware engineering, and bioinformatics.

The vision we have is to reshape the way in which therapeutic targets and diagnostic biomarkers are discovered. Right now, we are experimenting with the best ways to do that.

And you are a software engineer who wants to build something that is both challenging to create as well as having a clear value to society.

    What you'll work on:

You will be involved in working in a wide variety of software disciplines, technologies, and projects. You pride yourself on being a true software generalist.

Specifically, you will work on image processing, large scale data analysis, industrial automation, front-end and back-end service development, and GPU-accelerated or even GPU-offloaded development.

You'll be set up for success if you have:

The ideal person in this role will have a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals.

Your career has both big and small company experience. And if you have worked in biotech that would be helpful, but it is not required.

    • 4+ years of development experience in a high-performing engineering organization

    • Dedication for designing and building complicated systems while working side-by-side with the users

    • Proven experience shepherding moderate to high complexity features successfully from architecture through release, and on-going support experience

    • You have built production-quality software as well as proof-of-concept software

    • Experience with our technology stack. Our applications are built on Python

    • Communication and collaboration skills that allow you to successfully partner with other teams (technical and non-technical)

    • B.S. / M.S. in Computer Science or related industry experience
