    Job Description

    WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN INTERN TO WORK WITH OUR PRODUCT DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT TEAM FOR 25-29 HOURS PER WEEK BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8 AM - 5 PM. THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION (NO REMOTE WORK AND NOT A SUMMER POSITION) THAT WILL REPORT TO OUR FACILITY IN EAST ORLANDO.     SUMMARY:

    The CAD Engineering Intern will work with the Engineering team and operations departments to improve efficiency, and quality and assist in creating and maintaining the 3D CAD parts library.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Assists in the development and maintenance of top assemblies in SolidWorks & NX
    • Performs reverse engineering of parts, parts validation, and development of the 3D CAD parts library
    • Gathers and maintains detailed vendor data
    • Performs product analysis by cross-referencing physical parts with their respective 3D models for dimensional accuracy
    • Other duties as assigned

    • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to work closely with all members of the organization

    • Ability to juggle and manage competing tasks and demands and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
    • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL:

    • Pursuing a degree in a technical degree or related field. Must be local to Orlando, FL
    • Must be available for 25 - 29 hours per week, Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

    PREFERRED:

    • Some knowledge of other CAD applications (NX, AutoCAD, Rhino)
    • Manufacturing experience desired, does not need to be within the marine industry
