We are currently seeking a qualified ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR LEAD to support our NAVWAR Contracting/Acquisition eBusiness Team. Come join a rapidly growing team of highly skilled and motivated consultants to help modernize the Navy's financial posture.

JOB SUMMARY

Serve as the Oracle DBA lead providing configuration management, systems integration, systems application, and user management support for the client's contract document management system, Web Extender/Application Extender (WebX). 

KEY TASK AREAS INCLUDE:

• Monitor system/application efficiency and maintain/enhance database performance
• Troubleshoot system/application issues and fine tune the database environment
• Perform/enhance capacity planning as required
• Complete annual and periodic security control scans and checks; resolve findings
•  Complete upgrade of Windows Server and Oracle Databases from 12c to 19c
• Migrate and re-configure the application during planned Navy Data Center transition
• Develop and orchestrate data migration and application sunsetting activities
• Support future transition into a cloud hosted environment
• Support Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations activities as required
• System Administration Support
•  Respond to user identified system performance issues, database, and website error messages, and assist in maintaining interfaces to external systems

WEBX DBA DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide daily database administration support for the ACE-C Oracle database (WebX application) including data backup/recovery services, reporting, upgrading, and updating of applications/interfaces
• System Integration Support
• Support any changes to the existing WebX integration component which currently inserts all issued solicitations, released contract award documents, and associated documents into WebX using NAVWAR's SPS PD² Adapter tool
• Monitor and maintain all data interfacing requirements and interdependencies, both internally within the ACE-C architecture, and externally to other DoD and DoN mandated systems
• Ensure integration of systems meets security requirements to include the Unclassified Trusted Network Protect Policy (UTNPP), NMCI security architecture, and DISA guidance
• Provide technical and planning support to enable successful accomplishment of all systems integration resulting in effective workflow and data interface while minimizing interruption or impact to operational status of systems
• System Application Support
• Install, design, develop, administer, upgrade, maintain, support, and optimize multiple Oracle database systems/applications in both test and production environments
• Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve integration errors and issues impacting WebX performance; document errors and resolutions in Government issued tracking tool; ensure WebX is optimally configured and consistently available

REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in IT or any related field
• Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional
• ‘Cradle to Grave' Oracle Database Administration expertise (configuration, patching, administration, upgrade, management, sustainment, and sunsetting of applications)
• Proficiency with Oracle 12c & 19c Enterprise Edition, SQL Developer, MySQL, Toad, Unix, Solaris, Linux, Command Line Interface, Application Extender, Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 19c and Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and have Unix shell scripting, SQL Scripting and PL/SQL experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Navy Flankspeed (MS Teams, SharePoint)
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• 8 years of experience in Oracle database and JAVA-based applications
• 3+ years DoD experience
• Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II certification, as outlined by DoD 8570
• Security+
