    System Administrator

    Job Summary:

    The System Administrator (SA) shall possess PD2 product knowledge, technical expertise, implementation experience, and an understanding of the Other Defense Agency (ODA) business model and SPS deployment objectives. This shall include the administration of the SPS system.

    Responsibilities & Duties:

    • Maintain the Sybase database and the SPS system by conducting the tasks required for Sybase DataBase Administration (DBA), and for maintaining the PD2 System Administration module.

    • Follow-up on help desk issues within the scope of the SPS Help Desk agreement. For those issues outside the scope of the SPS Help Desk agreement, the SA shall work with the client to resolve the issue.

    • Conduct software service and maintenance release upgrades to the software, including clause downloads, in accordance with the SPS System Security Plan.

    • Use Cognos, scripts, and the FPDS-NG engine as applicable, to provide relevant and customized Ad Hoc and Impromptu Reports to AL-ACP by their requested date.

    • Use Citrix to improve performance, resolve disconnect issues.

    • Conduct backups on a regular basis.

    • The SA's may be tasked with providing daily, weekly, and or monthly reports for data pulls, reports, taskers, & requests in support of client's SPS Procurement Desktop-Defense (PD2). Reports may include but are not limited to data pulls for Active Contract Dossier & SPS DAI Reconciliation report, IT Taskers, FIAR Requests, etc.

    Location: Fort Belvoir, VA (On-Site)

    **Skills & **Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in IT or any related field
    • 2-10 years of relevant experience
    • Have or willing to obtain Information Assurance certification (e.g. Security+, GSEC etc.).
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to take initiative and work independently
    • Ability to transition quickly and assess priorities to meet aggressive and changing deadlines
    • Proficiency with PD2 product knowledge, Citrix and Cognos
    • Understanding of the Other Defense Agency (ODA) business model and SPS deployment objectives
    • Active DoD Secret Clearance Required
